Cannabis, My Cancer Journey
I have been following you, John, for 5 years now since my kidney cancer metastasized to other parts of my body. I realized traditional treatment was not the course for me and my cancer journey. This response was not taken lightly by the medical standard of care. I was treated very poorly by my oncologist at the time. It was a rough go for a while as I tried to figure out what path was right for me. That’s when I saw your documentary The Sacred Plant, and it opened my eyes to what may be a possible course for me to take. It took a lot of soul searching and I found my answers. I started on RSO first along with very potent CBD my friend in California made for me. I also started Vitamin C and Oxidative Therapy weekly from a fantastic naturopathic doctor I found that I loved.
So the journey began…
Had my first scan after I was diagnosed with Stage 4. All went very well. No advancement of tumor growth in my lungs or my 8th rib where it resided. The Doctors were amazed and still wanted me to do traditional treatment. Once again, I declined. I told them I felt fabulous and my blood work was impeccable. By now I’m on my 3rd oncologist at Sloan Kettering in NY. Dr. Owen’s was her name and she said keep doing what you are doing because I wasn’t a candidate for immunotherapy. They need the patient to be non-favorable risk to qualify and I didn’t fall into that category. So I continued on my naturopathic journey all the while feeling fantastic.
It’s now April 2021.
It’s been 5 years since my stage 4 diagnosis. Still taking RSO and CBD. The cancer is still there, but now I live in Pittsburgh and go to the Hillman Cancer Center. My doctor has not recommended any treatment, so I am continuing my healing process.
I want to personally thank you and your wife Corinne for changing my life. My sympathies go out to you on your loss.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
